I am really enjoying doing the April A to Z Challenge, though I am not doing it in a very traditional way. I’ve missed a few days- but I’ve written so much more than I usually do in a month, and it has felt great! I have put some of the posts on my sexier blog www.lustitude.com, so they aren’t showing here, but it’s been great to beef up on content on that site!
So, today is the letter T! One of my beaus suggested I use the word Titties! LOL But I wanted to use this post here, not the sexier blog… yet I was struggling for something with T. Then, all of a sudden, EUREKA! TWITTER! And as I thought more about Twitter, how I use it, and what it means to me… of COURSE, Titties came up too! Let me explain…

I don’t remember exactly when I started using Twitter. I know I tried it years ago and didn’t quite understand how it worked and gave up. But then, as I started my blogging journey- I realized I probably needed to try again. I didn’t have this blog yet, just Lustitude. So my focus was very much on the “sexy side” of things at the time.
One of the first things I remember about joining Twitter and following some of the Sex Bloggers I had recently learned about was that the algorithm started to put other #NSFW people into my feed. YAY! I followed some pretty incredible content makers, great writers, and sexy thinkers. A fun, relaxed, and sex-positive community was starting to form on my timeline, and I felt so blessed that they all let me be part of the gang!

The other thing I noticed about my particular brand of Twitter was titties! (I mean, the word is in the title, you had to have known it was coming!) I was stunned to realize people posted nude pictures on Twitter. But even better than that, the pics were of beautiful people of all different ages and sizes, totally unapologetic about who they are and what they look like! Proud and happy of their absolutely amazing selves. I fell in love!
It was refreshing and liberating to open the app and see boobs of every size and so many different shapes. Thighs – big, small, muscular, flabby, and everything. So much beauty. I realized so many of the bloggers I was familiar with and getting to know were like me. Almost middle-age or already there, normal women and men. Sure, some of you (I hope you are all reading this, my Twitter fam!). Some of them are models, and we love them too! I was just struck by the reality that everyone is sexy, and everyone can have a seat at the sex-positive table and be proud of who they are and what is important to them!
I read about why people were posting these images. Showing off their bodies made them feel more confident and even sexier, and I could totally relate. Showing off their “bits” on Twitter gives them a sense of self totally separate from being a wife, husband, worker, sister, or boss. It is a place to be just a bit freer, just a bit more open, and always a bit sexy. I loved it. Every minute of it. I don’t post nudes or even very sexy pics, but the ideas, the liberation, the points of view stuck with me.
I feel more confident saying what I want about sexual things or relationships. I eventually showed my face on there, even though I write erotica that is often very explicit and true! I find confidence and security through this amazing community I discovered on Twitter.

That brings me to friendships. Oh, such lovely friends and acquaintances, I have made over the years. So many of them I met at Eroticon. People who I instantly recognized as kindred spirits. So many people I check in with every few days or every week. So many people, I look forward to seeing what’s going on in their lives every time I open the app.
I’ve made friends I know in person and can’t wait to see them again. I plan to meet even more of them in person as the year progresses! People from all over the world. You can’t imagine all the British English I speak in my day-to-day life because of all my friends on the other side of the pond!
What a wonderful world opened up to me when I discovered Twitter! I have said before that “Twitter changed my life!” And in so many real ways- it truly has!
